In 2021, the Santa Creu Clinic in Figueres has carried out more than 1,500 diagnostic tests related to Covid-19, including PCR, IgG serology and antigenic testing. In addition to the usual demand from companies and occupational health insurance companies, in recent weeks some European Union countries have added the fact that, in order to allow citizens to enter the country, they must have proof of a test result that the person does not have the coronavirus.

This was the case in Germany during the months of January and February, and the measure particularly affected the transport sector. A system of shuttle buses was set up from La Jonquera to the Santa Creu Clinic to transport lorry drivers heading to Germany so that they could take the antigenic test and have proof that they did not have Covid-19.

In recent days the user profile has changed and now most of them are tourists who need to have a negative PCR result to access France.

Anyone can request a Covid-19 diagnostic test at Clínica Santa Creu (antigenic test, PCR or IgG serology), without the need to present any specific documentation. Sample collection hours are from Monday to Sunday.
